From the first time we spoke with Nick on the phone, to the installation and completion of our new pool liner and heater. we had no regrets we found the right person and company, Hirsch Pools, to service our pool needs.First, superb customer service! When we sat down with him to discuss installation of a new pool heater and liner, Nick was professional and never tried to upsell us. His pricing was very responsible. We would highly recommend Nick and Hirsch pools for pool repair and needs!We have had to use Nick twice this year for a winter leak and a sand filter repair. I first contacted Nick in January, after reading his online reviews, when we noticed our water level drastically dropping (we do not have a safety cover so we could see the water level), he was extremely responsive to my concerns and came to fix it as soon we the weather was warm enough (and before the busy pool season began). He checked all elements for the cause of the leak before jumping to any conclusions and was able to correct the issue at our light. Not only did he fix the leak, he had to fix our floating liner as well. Because of the loss of water and our high water levels, he had to remove all ground water and reset the liner! Later in the season, our filter was spitting sand back into the pool and again Nick was able to exceed our expectations to fix the issue!He is very busy which, to me, speaks volumes for his business and his character so I encourage all customers to be patient and know that you’re in good hands with Nick. He knows pools, offers a fair price, and truly cares about his work and the people who contract him.

Hirsch Pools does fantastic work! I don’t normally write reviews, but I had four different pool companies come to my house to inspect the leak and all walked away saying that there is nothing to be done but rip up all of my concrete. Hirsch came and within one hour, diagnosed the problem and just a few days later fix the leak and the pool has been perfect(no concrete destroyed at all!). I was so happy with the work that I had them come and install a saltwater system as well as a pool heat pump. Again, awesome job by the group and will be using them every year from here on out.

We had an amazing experience working with Hirsh Pools and Nick. I was in need of upgrading all of our equipment and I did a lot of research and spoke to quite a few companies. Nick was one of the few that actually made the time to meet with me and review equipment option's. We decided to go all the way and upgraded to salt. Hirsh Pools had a legal contract detailing all the work and the approximate start date. Nick never asked for payment until the work was fully done. The work was awesome, everything was done as explained and he has even followed up a few times just to see how everything has been working. I get the impression that Nick is the kind of person that would give you a shirt of his back if you needed it. If you know the personality then you know you are in good hands with Nick and his team. I don't write many reviews but I strongly felt this one warrented. Good luck.

After trying to figure out why my pool was leaking, Hirsh Pools were the only company to figure out the problem, address it and fix it completely. They ended up installing a new liner, but that was after running a battery of tests on the pump and pipping. Nick knows more about pools than all the other companies I called combined, and I called ALL of them. They also closed my pool after installing the liner and did a top notch job. I will ONLY use Hirsh Pools for ANYTHING pool related again.

Had a mess of a pool at property in Nassau found Nick on google and he not only did him and his crew fix all our issues and provided us with new equipment he’s very knowledgeable and straightforward best prices and customer service I had experienced with a pool company highly recommended and look forward to working with them again…. I contacted Nick on Friday evening of Labor Day weekend and he answered his phone while on vacation and assured me he would be at my house the following morning to fix my heater. He came exactly when he said he would be there, fixed the heater, charged a MORE than reasonable price and answered every single one of my follow-up questions. He even offered to come back to show me a few things that I was confused about. I could not be happier with the service that Nick provided and could recommend him more highly! I have worked with a lot of pool companies in my years as a pool owner and hands down Nick went ABOVE AND BEYOND.

We’ve known Nick the past several years. When we hired him to install our pool cover in spring of 2022 he was easy to work with from the very beginning. He did a great job, and the final product met our expectations. Where Nick stands out is his follow up service - he came back to install pool liner lock this summer to strengthen the liner attachment to the coping, and when we opened our pool this year to find that it bloomed he offered to help remediate it the issue. He was very responsive, went beyond his responsibilities, serviced the needed chemicals, and provided excellent follow up directions. His knowledge and experience brings extra value to his services.

I hired Nick Hirsch to install a pool liner in the Fall of 2021 to install a new pool liner for my inground pool. Nick installed the pool liner in the late fall of 2021. The pool was filled with water and it was suggested to fill the remainder of the pool with water from my well. After a few days of filling the pool with well water I noticed the level had not increased. I stopped filling and began to monitor the level which began to drop significantly. I immediately contacted Nick and stated that I believe that the liner was leaking. After confirming there was a leak, I continued to reach out to Nick. He stated he would be over to look at the liner. He never showed and kept making excuses as to why he couldnt come over. He also, (somehow) seemed to indicate that it was somehow my fault. Finally, I let him know that if he doesnt come fix the problem he created, I would be taking legal action and have to install a new liner. He could not have cared less. I installed a new liner in the summer of 2022. The new installation contractor cited numerous areas in the liner Nick installed where there either was a leak or there would have been a leak if the water level was ever filled to that level. Bottom line is I put thousands into the pool liner Nick installed and didnt get one swim out it. DONT USE THIS GUY! I will be looking to get my money back.

Had a hard time finding someone to fix the leaky skimmer and return on our 40ft indoor pool. Called everyone in Ulster county and no one would even look at it. Googled pool repair and found Nick who not only responded right away but promised he could fix it. He scheduled it in quickly and he and hid assistants did it promptly and the results were terrific. I can't say enough good things about Nick and his team. They were the only ones to help me out in an extreme time of need. This was one of the best customer experiences I ever had.My liner ripped first weekend of owning the pool at my new home. I had no idea what to do. All other companies I called offered no help and basically told me I'm out of luck until NEXT SPRING! I had no idea what to do and was in one of the most stressful situations I'd ever experienced.Nick answered my call and was extremely helpful putting my mind to ease. He came by and explained everything to help me fully understand what I had going on. He quickly replaced my entire liner of the pool (couple weeks time). While working we discovered the lights did not work either. He was able to replace those as well. Guess what, we ran into an electrical problem, he got an electrician who was great and came by to get things right. It was one thing after another and if it weren't for him I would have been lost. He was also very transparent about pricing and charged me fair amounts for everything. Then he and the team closed up my pool. Can't thank him enough for all he did.

Nick took over from another business that I will not name but hope that no one ever uses the other guy. Nick came out and measured the horrid smelling cesspool that was taken as is with the house.The pool was pumped out and liner replaced; we were going to try to do a heater over the winter but it didn't work out. At Nick's advise we went with a saltwater pool, had we not we would have been stuck as apparently the titanium inside largely comes from Russia.It took while to sort out our system but it was crystal clear for my July wedding and we've been in there any day the weather was agreeable since.At one point after that the pool started to turn green and I just increased the chlorine output to 80% from 60% and the next day it was clear. No shock, no fuss, just a great pool experience.The saltwater of the pool doesn't hurt your eyes like chlorine pools do and all of my family have noticed it. Having grown up on the ocean I can feel the buoyancy difference between a fresh water pool and a saltwater pool. I would choose this operation again every time.I found Nick's experience and pool savvy to be great, and I would use him again.Over all I have a new pump, new filter, new liner, saltwater chlorine generator thing and a darn nice pool. Oh and the dolphin pool cleaner robot is awesome, really glad we did that.Thank you Sir and your team.

I recently purchased a foreclosed home and was stuck with a disgusting in ground pool not in use for 7 years, with torn liner, malfunctioning pump, etc. Nick and his team came to help me restore my pool and placed new liner despite the complex shape of the pool and the state of disaster it had been in. I would not recommend Hirsch Pools to anyone. Our fiberglass pool was not properly installed and we are unable to use our pool as a result (two different companies inspected our pool and verified this). Nick was difficult to work with and is not accepting responsibility, leaving us with a terrible situation.

Nick always responds to us quickly. After 4 or 5 other pool companies either ignored us, did a not so great job or didn't show, Nick took our pool from a swamp complete with frogs to really clean and clear. We've also trusted him with a liner and new stairs and it looks fabulous. Can't say enough about Nick and Hirsch Pools. We had an awful experience with an area pool company. We had them replace our liner and soon after we started losing water. I looked online found Hirsch Pools and called. I spoke with Nick and told him the issue and within an hour he was at my house assessing the problem. He checked in daily to see how his temporary fix was. He reached out to several other pool companies in the area on our behalf to have them all come and assess issue also. After all the time and energy he put into our issue not once would he accept money. He just felt awful for what we were going through. A judgement was won by us against the other company and now we will hire Nick to replace our liner. Nick is diligent, conscientious and trustworthy. We need more contractors/businesses like this!

If you need someone who knows about pools-call Nick. I was looking at buying a house with a pool and knew there were some issues, but didn’t know how much it would cost or how long it could take to get it all squared away. When uncovering my pool this spring I discovered that it was completely empty of water and appeared to be falling in. The before pictures show the extent of the apparent damage. I contacted Nick based on the reviews and wanting to support small local businesses. He was very responsive and came right away to look at my pool. After removing the old liner to inspect what the problem was, Nick determined that the pool itself was structurally sound and I just needed a new liner. I picked a new liner and waited for its arrival. Once it arrived I was very surprised how quickly Nick was able to put it in place. My pool is odd shaped and has many weird angles. The liner looked seamless! The after pics are from the day of the new liner install. Additionally, I did not realize that the liner is iridescent. When light hits it it’s beautiful. Tried to get a picture to show but it’s much more apparent in person. Will be contacting Nick about a safety cover for the fall.

Nick and his team were amazing. Unbelievably great end result to fixing our in ground pool and making it better than it ever. Basically rebuilt it from a disaster left by another known pool company. He did everything he said he was going to do and more. He really cared about the project and other elements related to it that wasn’t even part of the scope. Definitely a value add beyond the cost of the job. Highly recommend.

We contacted Nick in a pinch with an end of the year pool issue. He was very responsive and helpful. He winterized and closed our pool. He also fixed an issue with the liner on our stairs simply because he didn't like the way it looked. We would highly recommend him, and we look forward to using him again for pool service in the future.

Nick has the potential to be great. We paid up front for the entire season (this mistake is on me and I will not make this mistake again). The first month he came once a week (as contracted), kept our pool crystal clear, and helped us get a new pump and filter in place because the ones the previous owner left us were a mess. He charged us a very fair price for this work and got it done relatively quickly. We were very happy with our hire and we went on to refer him to everyone we could. (I have since informed them of how the rest of the season went for us). From that point on the service went downhill. He quit vacuuming our pool because I would do so mid week. He quit brushing the walls of our pool and would walk away with them being covered in algae. All he would do is come and throw some chlorine tablets in there......sometimes. His visits lasted 5 minutes, maybe. Come August, I felt as though I was practically begging him to come, we had several days the pool was unusable. He rarely told us in advance he would not be coming, usually he just didn't show up. I was worried we were going to have to hire another company to close our pool being that he no called/no showed twice on closing the pool. When he comes through, he is great and clearly very knowledgable. He just has some improvements to make and I'd like to believe he can make them. If you hire Nick, I would suggest working out a payment plan with him and not paying for the whole season up front. Maybe that will help motivate him?

I am a Realtor and have been calling on Nick for a couple of years now when I have homes that are in need of pool servicing. Nick is always there for me and my clients. He goes above and beyond what one would normally expect. I recently listed a home, pool filter needed replacing and within 48 hours Nick had that new filter in place and ready for the buyers inspection. Nick at Hirsch Pools is definitely my go to Pool Contractor! If you need a pool installed, closed/opened or just maintained you won't be disappointed with the service Nick provides.

Nick was so helpful, highly informative and professional with our pool issue . He always answered calls immediately and get right back to us. We have an above ground pool. Our filter and our motor were cracked and leaking. The previous owners had used Bando on multiple areas unbeknownst to us. He rebuilt and replaced them items . What a world of a difference! We called on a Monday that Friday we had everything fixed, up and running. Any other pool service Was just going to close it and wait until next season to fix. I appreciate his honestly, prices and tips for the longevity of our equipment. Thank you Nick ! We’ll now use him for everything pool related . Highly recommended thank you again.

Nick is a super friendly and professional guy! Being new to our area and just bought a home with a pool. We needed someone asap when we had a problem. Our pool was a HOT MESS! It needed a new filter, pump, it needed to be cleaned, it was infested with frogs! We needed help! Nick stepped right in and got it done without a single complaint! He was so professional and nice. We consider him a friend. Hirsch Pools came out within a couple days and diagnosed our problem immediately. He was back with the necessary part the day after it came in. Very happy we called Nick! Nick is a super friendly and professional guy! Being new to our area we needed someone asap when we had a problem. This is the first year I have ever had a pool and had no idea where to Even start.Hirsch to the rescue, Nick came over, thoroughly cleaned the algae that had taken over my pool, explained all that he did, and taught me along the way. He made sure my pool was chemically safe forMy kids, and made sure I was comfortable in how to maintain the pool to avoid algae from taking over again. My pool is now crystal clear and now I know what I’m doing. I highly recommend Hirsch. Professional, friendly, efficient, and a good teacher w great pricing. I’m so happy I found him, and look forward to working w him I’m the future . He took the time to put me through “pool school” and explained the ins and outs of maintaining a pool to someone who had no clue.
